THANK YOU AND CONGRATULATIONS TO;

Snowmass Nova's Dawn is one of our absolute most treasured Royal Snowmass Nova daughters.
When you see her in person you will agree that she is one in a million. AND>>> She is a Maternal SISTER to Snowmass MATRIX. She not only is spectacular in fleece and frame she has an endearing personality which creates great loyalty. She will be a very hard one to part with for sure! In advanced breeding and solid records of lineage we do perform line breeding and some that may be called in breeding. We do this on lines we want to prove in terms of physiological health and conformation health and rule out any genetic anomalies as best we can, at the same time lock in the genetic traits that we are wanting to increase in our herd population. If we have a cria that is born with faults from this type of breeding we know we have limitations on these genetics. To name just some of the lines we have proven to be strong and true over and over are Legacy, Hemingway, Quechua, Bueno, Accoyocusani,and MATRIX. These particular stud lines are so well proven and in this female's lineage that we needed to mention this as well as it gives us an opportunity to be open and help educate about the importance of line breeding in advancing a breed towards its ultimate commercial goals.
Dawn is one of those females that has so many strengths it's simply hard to list them all and she is bred for the first time to Snowmass Royal Knight, our black Royal fine Royal Bronze son. Snowmass Royal Knight has one of the finest black fleeces we have ever had on farm and or witnessed in our history of breeding alpacas. He is truly a Royal Bronze in black. We did not yet have any cria from him when we bred Dawn but since have had 4 crias, all Black from Brown and Black Dams, which gives us confidence that this breeding will result in a black cria. Having Nova as her sire it will be that much more spectacular, and all the more reason its very hard to let her go.
Snowmass Nova's Dawn is bred to Snowmass Royal Knight for a June 2010 cria
