Snowmass Invincible Dream is a daughter of Snowmass Invincible who I think needs no introduction. We made sure we had select genetics from him before he was sold, and this female as a few others we are offering, are those Elite select few we retained.
Snowmass Invincible Dream has given us incredible progeny from multiple sires all which have been at the top of our charts, and will be retained for our breeding program allowing us to offer her. Look at Dream's histograms. It has remained incredibly fine through her years. We switched our feed in early 2008 to a new custom blended pelleted feed with pro and prebiotics as well as many other healthy ingredients which was a great improvement in our herd health overall, however it was a sudden boost of higher protein(16%). The winter of 2008 also found us in shortage of Hay which left us buying rich high protein hay. This under the best of circumstances is reflected in an overall micron increase.
This will and should come back down as the alpacas get used to assimilating the level of higher protein and why you see some alpacas have high numbers one year and then go back down the next. We hope to have all our alpacas have responses as Invincible Dreams with just a slight increase. She as many also are fed more being pregnant and nursing cria so we do not mind this increase knowing it is feed related. She is still in the ROYAL! These are the alpacas you want in great numbers at least what we work so hard to produce across the Snowmass Herd.
