Snowmass Bright Stars is a very unique white female who's sired by Snowmass Chaccoyo, a most handsome son in line with CCNF Arch Angel, both sired by Snowmass Legacy Gold. Bright Stars Dam, Snowmass Silver Star, is one of the best Silver Grey females we have ever produced, and also the Dam to Snowmass Enlightenment making Snowmass Bright Stars a sister to Snowmass Enlightenment.
We wasted no time in breeding Bright Starts to Snowmass Matrix in hopes for a Grey or Fawn Grey as knew anything of any color coming from this genetic combination would be wondrous.
Indeed he, Snowmass Belvedere, is a wondrous gorgeous Beige with hints of Fawn Grey. Many ask what is Fawn Grey because we do not have these in our AOBA color chart. You must look at an International Color Chart (Mitchell or Grupo Inca) which is primarily used for yarn and top sales. Here you will see they blend and sell as many Fawn Grey colors as Brown and Black being Rose Grey and Silver Grey.
Most Grey genetics stem from the Fawns and Blacks. The best Fawn fleeced alpacas are those that have been bred back to high end Fawns. Belvedere will be a most exciting herdsire prospect and one that will certainly be fun to take to shows. If you are a Grey alpaca collector please know there is a very unique element of Grey in this boy and Dam and you may want to take advantage of this. We went ahead and bred Bright Stars back to Matrix for hope of a female version of her son!
